NYSAHA 2025 BOB ALLEN SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
The NYSAHA awards 4 scholarships of $2500 each to a senior in a New York High School, or a New York resident who is attending a prep school. Eligible applicants must be a current or past member of the New York State Amateur Hockey Association that is planning to attend a four-year, two-year, or vocational school full-time earning 12 credits or more. Applicants will need to complete the application below. In addition, applicants will need to submit 3 letters of recommendation from people that are not members of their family. Letters of recommendation must use the form that is available for download below. Applicants must also submit a sealed/stamped high school transcript(3.5 years). Letters of recommendation, along with the high school transcript must be postmarked prior to April 1, 2025 and sent to Jodi Cullen, 46561 Barnes Settlement Road, Redwood, NY 13679. A type-written essay is required and must be uploaded as a part of this application. You may want to write the essay PRIOR to completing the application. Be as specific as possible; Paragraph 2 - Describe your involvement in school and community activities that are NOT related to hockey and the role you play in each. What lessons have you learned in being involved in these activities?; Paragraph 3 - What lessons have you learned from your involvement in hockey?; Paragraph 4 - How will the lessons you learned from the activities mentioned in paragraphs 2 and 3 help you reach your short and long term goals?
